Wow, is this photograph in a museum? It's always amazing to me, to see the changes between the "then" and "now" photographs of places...
All of Tokyo was only a couple stories high at most then, and not all that long ago-- men were still wearing swords! This is a Felix Beato (link on my 'Edo' link) foto, I don't know where it resides...
