THERE WILL BE SACRIFICES
...

Yes, nature just isn't gonna take it any more; severe adjustments will have to be made. One unthinkable change is already under way...

Everyone from teens to senior citizens are saying no,
but mongers and meisters are trying to turn back the tides of change,
after a brief commercial...

I guess I should be surprised but I am not.. Here in the States we are eating more fish... at least I know the people I know do.. I think whatever one is raised on gets bored w/what they are brought up on and when something new is introduced they gravitate towards that... If only the Japanese realize that beef is not all that great for you.. and yes swordfish is one of those mercury laden fish- but there are other fish u can eat and also if flavor is the issue, its all in the cooking and marinade. Maybe the Japanese need to experiment w/marinades if they think the taste is boring? lol

Maybe all those heavily medicated cattle crammed into filthy feed lots and slaughtered before the fattening corn they're fed kills them will give the tuna a breather...

The pressures on wild fisheries are tremendous. Not just from harvest but from pollution and global warming. Some lobbies in the U.S. denigrate farmed fish because of past problems. Maybe this is a good thing for the fish!
