Different? No kidding. I never get tired of your monkeys in the yard stories. That's so exotic to me. The best I can do in New York City are squirrels and the occasional owl.
Since I've never been to Japan, I couldn't say first hand; but it's always held a certain kind of mystery for me. I'm attracted to it's beauty and it's art. Different to be sure....a whole other world to me.
Someday I am going to get there! Had a small chance before I retired, but I did not want to wait 5 years to go.
After I had lived in Japan for two years, *America* seemed about as different as you can get on Earth...
