MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH IMPUNITY!

This evening we're off across the Lake to a Celtic Christmas event in Ritto, where with impunity they'll say Merry Christmas!, Season's Greetings!, Happy Holidays!, whatever they like, just the way they used to in the Land of the Free.

I was coming back to Kyoto from Maibara around the other side of the lake, and there was an absolutely stunning sunset with crystal clear skies looking in your direction from Maibara to Kusatsu, perfect gradient of blue to orange with your mountains silhouetted. Quite a change from the gloomy skies and snow flurries just a few hours earlier.

Yes, what a sky we had today, the best of fall and winter in a few hours. You see a red van out the train window going the other way?
