MEANWHILE, BACK IN LOS ANGELES...

As rains continue here in Japan, where we're having the coolest July I can remember, it's a different story in Woodland Hills near Los Angeles, where the 119-degree temperature broke the heat record. In LA, the temperature was a cooler Death Valley 115. Of course this doesn't detract at all from the fact that "Global Warming" is a myth. Just an anomaly in the overall weather pattern. Merely a matter of air conditioning and emergency-level power use. Of course if LA were to spontaneously combust, then maybe some folks could begin thinking about preliminary discussions on selecting carefully vetted representatives to pursue a tentative agreement regarding the potential establishment of a strictly confidential committee to study the possibility of proposing a non-binding dialog on the few fronts not yet in flames... or under water...

...or if Las Angeles were to spontaneously combust, then maybe people would finally take the warnings that the left coast really is over-the-top and unnecessary.

A large chunk of the US is suffering the 3rd or 4th or 5th week of this heat wave. So Cal seems to have gotten the worst of it, but not a lot of fun anywhere. And as if the dratted temp was not bad enough, there has been no rain. Starting to hear of water usage restrictions here and there. There go the lawns and gardens and clean cars...

Send us some of your weather... PLEASE...

When we as a people remember,
any of the following
1. good times do not last
2. what is Yang today will be Yin tomorrow
3. what goes up must come down.
4. those who do not learn from history repeat the same mistakes.
5. We reap what we sow

we, the world will be better off

water, pollution, global warming, famine

BTW, MR Anonymous, a good deal of your food comes from the unnecessary left coast! oh, and most likely the computer you are using!

Yeah, anonymous, and beside that my brother lives on the west coast and he grew up in NY, so you don't want to mess with him or the coast he lives on. And apart from countless beautiful west coast locations, you'd be willing to give up all those truly wonderful people? All Americans, BTW?

I'm happy to report, from the West Coast, that we pinko liberal types are finally starting to cool off. WHEW. What a relief. Might only get into the low 90s today, which is just all right with me.

(I'm in Northern CA, Contra Costa county...the fog is coming in as far as Berkeley....LOVELY.)
