Also the increasing number of people who are intolerant to various types of food is bound to make an impact, at least I hope so. I myself have developed intolerance towards wheat and potatoes. I make wonderfully tasty bread using spelt instead...

Planning to see another horror movie at the cinema this week: "We feed the world".

Thanks, Annette; I have added a link to that. Spelt bread sounds good. Not sure if we can get spelt here in Japan, but I'll check; same recipe as for whole wheat?

Spelt rises less than wheat, so in comparison with whole wheat bread you need to augment a bit the ratio between fine and whole type of flour. It also helps to substitute some of the water with orange juice. I add flax and sunflower seeds too.
