GO FIGURE

Here it is December 1 and there's no snow on the mountains! No frost yet, either! I'm wearing shorts! Most of the leaves have fallen and everything's waiting, but nothing's happening! Skiers are standing on grass, sweating in t-shirts! Ice skaters are swimming instead! Spring flowers are asking questions and birds are singing summer medleys! What is going on? While you figure it out, I'm gonna go lay on the beach.

I'm still harvesting my last mini tomatoes, amazing. They get early morning sunshine by a west wall so they must be rather surprised later in the day when the sun won't shine their way anymore.

I really don't agree on your take on the silly NPR herbivore thing. Having said that, I do wish there were more vegetarians in this country, both male and female!

I harvested the last tomato about five days ago. We are expecting a frost this week and weather is now finally in the 40's.

Martin... I don't really have a 'take' on that; just posted the headline. In its details, it may largely be one of those media-created phenomena, but there are some sociologically intriguing aspects...

I'm in Syracuse which had almost 150 inches of snow last season - here it is Dec 3rd and so far no snow...

OK - found the snow - apparently it's in Houston TX...
