Yeah, I do visit MF now and then (though I often see stuff elsewhere first) and sometimes post about it (w/linkback, if I remember). Haven't posted anything on MF itself yet, though...
And Shirley, yes, I would try and grow truffles, if I had access to the spore and wasn't confined to oak, which as it says take up to 12 years to produce (if at all), as compared to 7 years for the rapid express perhapsness of the hazelnut. I'm not totally no, though.... if the opp were to afford...

I don't this this is a question really ... if you can grow truffles (known as [fug-ha] in Arabic) then GROW TRUFFLES :-) and make me jealous as hell.
oh dear here it comes: truffle omlettes, truffle soufles, truffle bread, truffles with beef, truffle oil, truffles with mushrooms, truffle ice cream

i've never contributed anything either, but it's an easy place to kill a few minutes...there seem to be quite a few japan-based members as well...
oh, i hadn't realised about the growing them part ... i was just thinking about the eating them part. lots and lots to learn about the outdoors
